TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last Updated: July 9th, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern all consultations, estimates, upholstery services, furniture restoration services, custom furniture services, fabrication services, repair services, delivery services, installation services, products, materials, and related work performed by Artisan Interiors, LLC (“Artisan Interiors,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By approving an estimate, proposal, invoice, work order, change order, contract, payment authorization, delivery acknowledgment, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
All estimates and quotations are based upon information reasonably available at the time of preparation.
Quotes are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise stated.
Projects not approved within thirty (30) days may be subject to repricing due to changes in labor, materials, freight, supplier pricing, tariffs, or operating costs.
Artisan Interiors reserves the right to correct clerical, mathematical, typographical, pricing, supplier, freight, or administrative errors.
Artisan Interiors includes one complimentary showroom consultation and, when reasonably necessary, one follow-up material selection session for most projects.
Additional consultations, design meetings, showroom visits, in-home consultations, project redesigns, or coordination services may be billed at current rates.
Material suggestions, color recommendations, and design opinions are offered as a courtesy and are not professional interior design services unless separately contracted.
Customers are responsible for approving all fabrics, materials, finishes, dimensions, specifications, colors, and project details before production begins.
Customers are solely responsible for final approval of all fabrics, materials, colors, finishes, dimensions, and specifications prior to production.
Artisan Interiors may provide recommendations based upon experience; however, we do not guarantee future performance, comfort, durability, appearance, fading resistance, wear characteristics, or suitability of any material.
Manufacturer warranties govern material-related defects where applicable.
Artisan Interiors may accept Customer’s Own Material (COM) and Customer’s Own Leather (COL) projects at its sole discretion.
COM and COL are routinely accepted for approved interior designers, decorators, architects, builders, and trade professionals.
Retail customer-supplied materials are reviewed on a case-by-case basis prior to acceptance.
Artisan Interiors reserves the right to reject any customer-supplied material that is determined to be unsuitable, defective, insufficient, improperly specified, excessively difficult to work with, unavailable in adequate quantities, or otherwise inappropriate for the intended application.
Because Artisan Interiors’ standard labor pricing is partially subsidized through materials sourced directly through Artisan Interiors, approved retail COM and COL projects may be subject to additional labor charges, handling fees, cut fees, administrative fees, or other pricing adjustments.
Customer acknowledges that Artisan Interiors shall not be responsible for material shortages, fabric defects, leather defects, dye lot variations, pattern inconsistencies, supplier delays, manufacturing defects, material performance issues, or additional labor resulting from unsuitable or defective materials.
Additional labor, freight, handling, scheduling, storage, administrative, or material-related costs resulting from customer-supplied materials shall be the responsibility of the Customer.
Material quantity estimates are estimates only.
Actual requirements may vary due to pattern repeats, directional fabrics, hidden construction details, cushion construction, welt requirements, matching requirements, or other factors.
Artisan Interiors will make commercially reasonable efforts to achieve attractive pattern placement but cannot guarantee perfect pattern alignment, exact symmetry, centered motifs, or continuous pattern flow.
Additional materials may be required to complete a project in a professional and workmanlike manner and shall be the responsibility of the Customer.
Furniture may contain hidden defects that are not discoverable until work begins.
Examples include frame damage, loose joints, spring damage, webbing deterioration, prior repairs, water damage, pest damage, and structural weaknesses.
Additional repairs may be recommended and may result in additional charges.
Artisan Interiors is not responsible for pre-existing defects, hidden conditions, latent defects, or failures of aged or structurally compromised furniture.
If hidden damage, unforeseen conditions, material shortages, specification changes, or additional work are discovered after work begins, Artisan Interiors may suspend work and provide the Customer with a revised estimate or change order. Any additional labor, materials, freight, handling, storage, or related costs shall be the Customer’s responsibility. Artisan Interiors is not required to proceed with additional or affected work until the Customer approves the revised scope and pricing in writing and makes any requested additional payment. If the Customer declines the additional work, the Customer remains responsible for all work performed, materials ordered, and costs incurred through that date.
Artisan Interiors is responsible only for services specifically included within the approved Scope of Work.
Components not included in the Scope of Work, including wheels, casters, hardware, mechanisms, finishes, legs, and unrelated structural components, are not covered unless specifically listed.
Project completion dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Production schedules may be affected by material availability, supplier delays, freight disruptions, change orders, hidden damage, customer decision delays, labor availability, weather conditions, and circumstances beyond Artisan Interiors’ control.
Projects awaiting customer decisions, approvals, material selections, payments, or required information may be placed on hold.
Artisan Interiors shall not be responsible for schedule delays resulting from customer inaction, delayed responses, unavailable decision makers, or delayed approvals.
Pickup and delivery services may be offered based on project size, location, scheduling, and service area.
Additional charges may apply for stairs, difficult access, oversized furniture, long carrying distances, additional labor requirements, or special handling requirements.
Customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to delivery and pickup locations.
Repair projects may require photographs, videos, measurements, or additional information before acceptance.
Repair feasibility shall be determined solely by Artisan Interiors.
Certain repair projects may require full payment prior to scheduling.
Customers shall inspect all completed work promptly upon delivery, pickup, or installation.
Visible concerns must be reported in writing within seven (7) calendar days.
Failure to report concerns within seven (7) calendar days constitutes acceptance of the completed work.
Artisan Interiors is not responsible for damage occurring after delivery, pickup, or installation.
Artisan Interiors provides a Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty to the original customer.
The warranty applies only to workmanship defects performed by Artisan Interiors.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, customer-supplied materials, pet damage, environmental damage, improper cleaning, abuse or misuse, material failure, cushion softening, foam compression, wood movement, or previously existing defects.
Warranty remedies shall be determined by Artisan Interiors at its sole discretion.
Deposits, milestone payments, progress payments, and advance material payments may be required.
Artisan Interiors accepts payment by ACH Transfer, Zelle, Check, Credit Card, and other approved payment methods.
Certain payment methods may be subject to processing fees, convenience fees, merchant fees, administrative fees, or surcharges where permitted by law.
Customer agrees to pay any applicable fees associated with the selected payment method.
Artisan Interiors reserves the right to modify accepted payment methods and applicable payment processing fees at any time.
Payment processing fees charged by third-party payment processors are non-refundable in the event of cancellation, refund, chargeback, disputed transaction, or project termination.
Final payment is due immediately upon notification that a project is complete.
Artisan Interiors reserves the right to withhold delivery, installation, release of completed work, warranty service, or future services until all balances have been paid in full.
Deposits are used to reserve production capacity, initiate project planning, purchase materials, and cover administrative costs. Except as otherwise required by applicable law, deposits are non-refundable once Artisan Interiors has ordered materials, begun project planning or production, or otherwise incurred costs in reliance upon Customer’s approval.
If a project is canceled before work has begun and before materials have been ordered, any refund shall be determined by Artisan Interiors after deducting any administrative costs, design services performed, payment processing fees, special-order materials, freight charges, and other costs already incurred.
If the total costs incurred exceed the amount of the deposit, Customer remains responsible for the unpaid balance.
Completed projects must be picked up or delivery scheduled within fourteen (14) days of completion notification.
Storage fees begin at $15 per day per item after fourteen (14) days.
Larger items may incur higher storage fees.
Projects remaining unpaid or unclaimed for more than ninety (90) days may be deemed abandoned property and disposed of, sold, donated, or otherwise handled as permitted by law.
Past-due balances may accrue interest at 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum rate permitted by law.
Customers are responsible for reasonable collection costs, collection agency fees, court costs, filing fees, and other expenses incurred in collecting unpaid balances.
Returned checks, chargebacks, and failed payments may result in additional fees.
Artisan Interiors reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service due to non-payment, fraudulent activity, unsafe conditions, harassment, threatening behavior, unreasonable demands, or circumstances creating undue risk to employees, contractors, or property.
Artisan Interiors reserves the right to decline any project, furniture item, repair request, customer-supplied material, commercial project, consultation request, or proposed scope of work at its sole discretion.
Artisan Interiors’ liability is limited to direct damages only.
Under no circumstances shall Artisan Interiors be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive, or special damages.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the services giving rise to the claim.
Any dispute arising from services provided by Artisan Interiors shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, as permitted by law.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Venue shall be Sacramento County, California.
Artisan Interiors reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time a project is approved shall govern that project.
